SciFi Channel MMO

Found via Massively:

SciFi Channel MMO

I had an idea like this for the SocialMMO I'm working on. About a year and a half ago I thought it would be neat to have a storyline that played out in both the virtual world and in a comic book. I had so much going on that I never developed it. The initial concept didn't get much excitement from the top guys at my company anyway. So I let it sit. And now it seems I've been beaten to the pynch.

It is nice to know that it's a viable idea...at least in theory. I'll be watching to see how this plays out. I think the Virtual World/Comic Book idea is a better fit than VW/TV. But who knows? By the time this is released, they will be able to seamlessly match in game shots with in show shots. Having a visual style reminiscent of 300 would definitely make for an attractive Game/Show world.

Good on ya, SciFi.

This should be a reminder to me to get my ideas down of paper and push hard to get them developed. Just seeing that someone is doing this tells me I have good ideas. But ideas are just a dime a dozen. The key is execution. Execute! Execute! Execute!
